mission of the STARS Foundation
is to provide fundraising, advocacy and stewardship
in support of the teen-delivered STARS life-skills curriculum
for every middle-school child in Oregon.

Why
We Care

Teen girls who don’t become pregnant have a greater chance of completing their education, going on to jobs of their choice and becoming financially self-sufficient.

They reduce their chances of contracting sexually transmittable diseases, being physically abused and of potentially abusing their babies.

Fewer teen mothers also means less teen dependence on welfare services and state-supported health care.
